In a world of first-person shooters, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is somewhat of a giant. The video game first came out in 2020, and since then, the updates kept getting bigger and better.
Every season features new and better content, including maps, guns, and melee weapons. Furthermore, Cold War witnessed a number of improvements and balancing patches. As a result, Black Ops: Cold War has quickly become a fan-favorite, and the go-to Call of Duty game. In light of this, let’s take a look at the latest Black Ops Cold War Update.
Black Ops Cold War Update Patch Notes for March 2022
2021’s Vanguard wasn’t fairing well, so the developers pushed back the unannounced 2023 Call of Duty game by several months. Having this in mind, it’s no surprise the developers shifted their attention to the still-popular Black Ops Cold War.
On March 3rd, 2022, Treyarch announced new content for the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Understandably, the fans were pretty excited about the Black Ops Cold War Update patch notes.
The March COD Cold War Update includes the remaster of the trademark Black Ops 1 map, WMD. In order to make the most of the map, you’re free to climb anything and everything. So, have at it!
Keep your eyes especially peeled around the central Production Facility, and don’t forget to bring backup while you’re navigating. Meaning, there’s bound to be plenty of action. On top of that, Black Ops Cold War patch notes also introduce a brand new Vargo 52 assault rifle.
You can unlock the new Vargo 52 Assault Rifle in multiplayer and Zombies, which gives you plenty of options.
Additionally, both the Vargo and the Ferrofluid Weapon Blueprint are included in the Tracker Pack: Ferro Fury Reactive Mastercraft bundle. The bundle also includes the Ferro-Charlie Sticker, the Spiked Reticle, the Liquid Metal SMG Blueprint, Cranial Magnetism animated Calling Card, Bullet Magnet Charm, and the Fluid Manipulation Gesture.
How big is the new Cold War update? March 2022
If you’ve been playing Call of Duty games for a while, you’re no stranger to their gigantic file sizes. Furthermore, the CoD game file sizes are somewhat of a meme in the community.
The Standard Edition of Cold War on the Xbox One took up over 100 GB. Nonetheless, it’s not exactly a strange occurrence for Call of Duty games. As a matter of fact, CoD’s Modern Warfare, including its Warzone battle royale, also took up 170.9 GB on the PS4.
Where does that leave us? Well, if the usual file sizes are anything to go by, we’re looking at some spring cleaning. And that’s putting it lightly. In other words, you’ll be forced to clear some console space if you want to enjoy the Black Ops Cold War Update.
Asking a hardcore Call of Duty fan to cut off any aspect of CoD, no matter how small, is almost illegal. Seriously, it’s pretty much a crime, especially for someone who’s looking for the full experience. Needless to say, it’s a very difficult task.
Storage space is already flagged as the main issue for multiple next-generation consoles. Having this in mind, we’re hoping the developers will finally get the hint, and resolve this issue in the near future.
Current season of the game
Right now, Black Ops Cold War has six seasons. The last season of Black Ops Cold War definitely brought out the big guns. And we’re not just talking about the actual guns, this also includes operators, skins, maps, another Battle Pass, and even new bundles.
Without a doubt, Black Ops Cold War is a favorite among Call of Duty fans at the moment, so this month’s Cold War Patches Black Ops Update isn’t really a surprise. Having this in mind, fans are still curious about whether there’ll be a Black Ops Cold War Season 7?
Well, Black Ops: Cold War and Warzone kicked off in October, bringing about a bunch of new content for fans to enjoy. This, in turn, led to speculation about the next seasons. Moreover, Vanguard’s release only led to more confusion within the fan community.
As much as we’d like another Black Ops Cold War season, the possibility of that happening is very unlikely. Furthermore, the usual cycle of Call of Duty games only suggests that we won’t get to enjoy another season of multiplayer heaven for Black Ops Cold War.
