The First Simpsons NES Game: Story
This 2D side-scrolling platformer starts out with our favorite miscreant, Bart Simpson. Bart Simpson is the only person aware of the aliens’ secret plan of world domination, all thanks to his X-ray specs. How, you might ask? You see, these specs help him identify undercover aliens in human form. Your job as Bart is to stop the aliens from getting the items they need to build the ultimate weapon. Otherwise, well, it’s pretty obvious what the aftermath will be.
Bart VS The Space Mutants – Gameplay and Objective
The objective in The Simpsons Bart vs The Space Mutants is to spray these wanted items with a can of red paint. Or, you can also grab them before the aliens do. Either way, your job is to do everything in your power to stop them. And we do mean everything.
Furthermore, these items also vary from level to level. For instance, on Level one you’ll be looking for purple objects. Level 3, on the other hand, will have Blue Balloons.
To make matters worse, you also have to be on the constant lookout for undercover aliens in human bodies, all while destroying or collecting these items. Talk about stress. Now, for the fun part – if you happen to see an alien, bop it on the head. As a result, it will fly off to space, leaving a letter behind. Collect as many letters as you can to spell the name of Bart’s family members, because that person can help you defeat the boss.

How to Use the Magnet
When you get the chance, purchase the magnet from Toys N’ Stuff on Level 1. You’ll need it to win the Lucky Number game on Level 3.
Normally the Lucky Number game is random, but if you want a guaranteed victory, you can use the Magnet. Some might consider it cheating, but does it pay off? Heck yes.
As for when you use it, it’s pretty simple. Pick a number, and the magnet will do the rest, drawing the wheel to your number. Easy win!
Once you lose a life, Bart will say ‘Eat my shorts man’. Losing a life always sucks, but don’t worry, we still have some tricks up our sleeve. When you’re playing the first level, stand to the right of the “E” in the “Quick-E-Mart” sign. Then, shoot a rocket at the letter to make the Krusty Clown Face appear. That gives you three 1-Up’s, and even a Sound Test.
Getting a bonus room in the first level of The Simpsons Bart vs The Space Mutants is pretty easy – just go to the theatre at two or four o’clock. It might take a few tries, but it’s definitely worth it.
