Destiny 2: One Thousand Voices Guide
One Thousand Voices is an Exotic weapon in Destiny 2: Forsaken. It’s very rare right now. This guide will tell how to get it and how to use it in PvP and PvE.
The first thing you may notice is that this thing looks strange. It’s made out of bones. As for me, it doesn’t look great. But I don't care about the appearance too much because this fusion rifle is very strong! Just take a look at the stats. Range and Impact values are amazing!
How to get
It’s very difficult to get One Thousand Voices because it’s a rare drop from the final boss of the Last Wish raid. You will most likely have to grind a lot. This raid is not easy; it requires at least 550 level. But don’t give up. Continue grinding and leveling up, sooner or later you will succeed.
This thing is more difficult to get rather than other exotic guns that come from Engrams or from Missions. But if you receive it, you will be 100% satisfied.
- Fitted Stock: Increases stability, moderately controls recoil, slightly decreases handling speed.
- Unforeseen Repercussions: The beam superheats its targets upon impact, causing delayed explosions.
- Liquid Coils: Increases impact damage, slower charge time.
- Extended barrel: Increases range, Decreases handling speed, Moderately controls recoil.
- Ahamkara’s Eye: Charging this weapon unleashes a giant continuous beam of death.
This is a laser weapon meaning you don’t fire bullets or projectiles. You fire a laser beam and you can hit several targets if they stay close, one after another. You hit the first target, and then move the laser beam to the second one. They receive instant damage and then they take additional AoE damage from the Unforeseen Repercussions perk. This perk even allows you to draw a deadly line or any other figure on the ground which explodes in a second.
The weapon combines all the advantages of a fusion rifle and rocket launcher. It has amazing Range and Impact. You can use it in close combat and you can snipe enemies at a distance.
Is this the best single target DPS weapon? Probably not, but it has a very high single target DPS combined with the AoE damage. Such a combination makes this weapon so great.
If you want to become a master in using the rifle you will have to practice a little. It becomes deadly only if it’s fully charged. So you will have to spend some time practicing. But after you understand how it works you will become godlike.
One Thousand Voices is very good in PvP, especially in 6 vs 6 players where you usually fight against 2 or 3 players simultaneously. You can take down several enemies at once. This thing is not only powerful. It’s also very fun to use. You can snipe, use it instead of a rocket launcher, shot enemies behind the corners and have a lot of fun. It allows using different strategies and it gives a player a lot of flexibility.
What will happen if all your teammates in PvP also have this weapon? I can't imagine this.
Of course, it has also several disadvantages. The first thing is that it requires charging and you may not have enough time for this. The second thing is that it doesn’t deal all the damage instantly. It’s both an advantage and a disadvantage. It requires perfect aiming and timing.
In PvE, it’s a real destroyer. You can take down multiple trash mobs with a single shot because of the AoE. You can kill yellow health bar monsters pretty fast.
This fusion rifle is one of the BEST because of the versatility. There are many weapons that are great in one of the game aspects, for example in PvE or against certain types of enemies. But this rifle is great for any type of enemies and for any type of game activities. It can shine in PvP, PvE, raids. It’s great everywhere!
The only thing to worry about is that Bungie may realize the whole power of this rifle and nerf it later on.
